In addition, beginning with the current ongoing production of Steve Martin's Picasso at the Lapin Agile, GOAT has begun putting aside a section on our program to list all other theater productions currently running in the Orlando area that we are aware of, along with the dates of their run. In our curtain speeches, we are pointing our audiences to this section and encouraging them to support these productions.

"Our intention in forming this group three years ago was, among other things, to strive to work collaboratively with other arts groups to help build bridges and audiences together," said GOAT artistic director Paul Castaneda. "In the time since then, we have enjoyed our partnerships and mutual support of organizations like Playwrights Round Table and Wallflower Productions, have provided free marketing in our lobby and concessions area for artists like Christie Miga and photographer Ashland Thomas, and have been lucky enough to be supported in a variety of ways by groups like the Wekiva River Players, the Orlando Rep, Empty Spaces and others. It has been a truly gratifying experience."

"I, and all my fellow current board members, believe that we live and die together as a theater community," said Castaneda. "As an example, the recent loss of the Orlando Theater Project hurts us all as a community and leaves a unique hole in our artistic quilt. We will continue to do anything we can not only to grow our audiences, but to help grow audiences for all of our fellow theaters in town. We encourage others to do the same. And, we are open to any ideas and recommendations from other theater groups and from our patrons that will help in this endeavor."
