Greater Orlando Actors Theatre Announces Auditions For "Alice," a one-act dark comedy adaptation.

Winter Park, Florida, August 13, 2009 - Greater Orlando Actors Theatre announces auditions for an Alice in Wonderland dark comedy adaptation to be performed in GOAT’s first ever late-night series.

"Alice," a brand new one act work by local writers and actors Terri Giannoutsos and Heather McClendon, will run as a separate admission from August 28-September 19, 2009 on Fridays and Saturdays at 11:30pm, following our regular evening performances of Patrick Marber's "Closer."

Auditions will be held on Sunday August 16th, 2009 from 5-8pm at Greater Orlando Actors Theatre, 669 Cherry Street, Winter Park.

No appointment necessary. Please bring a headshot and resume. Actors will be asked to read from the script.

The show will be directed by Terri Giannoutsos.

Roles needed:
  • Caterpillar-male- 18-29, tall dark and handsome stranger
  • Dee-female- 18-25, Mary Ann’s BFF, college dropout
  • Dumbass-male-21-30, IDIOT!! High school dropout
  • Madhatter- male-18-29, witty stoner
  • March Hare- male - 18-29, mean stoner
  • Dormouse - female - 21-29, sleepy hungry stoner
  • White Rabbit- male - 21-25, dorky brother
  • Seven - male- 21-29, drug dealer, businessman
Synopsis: Mary Ann is home for Halloween to babysit her mom's house and pets. She invites a few close friends over to party, but things go horribly wrong, including the arrival of a tall dark and handsome stranger who drugs her and takes her on a wild and crazy trip through wonderland. This modern-day telling of the of the classic Lewis Carroll tale is funny, sexy and really crazy!
