Greater Orlando Actors Theatre Announces New Home

Orlando, Florida, August 20, 2008 - Greater Orlando Actors Theatre, "A New Home for Great Theatre," has a new permanent location. G.O.A.T. has just signed a lease at 1013 East Colonial Drive in Orlando near the corner of Mills and Colonial. (Right next to the Cruises Only building.) The space includes an upstairs area with a shared lobby and a large office space to be used for auditions, rehearsal and a main office. The other tenants of the address include a national casting director, a storyboard artist, graphic artists and a recording studio. In addition, we will be using the downstairs space for our productions. The space has exposed bricks, ceiling beams, huge windows on Colonial Drive and an edgy artistic vibe with over 5000 square feet of open space. The downstairs space is in development and will eventually also house an art gallery and a working space for artists. We will be presenting our first production in the space, A Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams. The show will run October 9-25, 2008. Performances are Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at 8pm.

Greater Orlando Actors Theatre would like to thank H2O Church with whom we have worked in the past. We look forward to working with them in some capacity in the future.
